The following information is provided to familiarize you with our ‘web order’ business policies. About SP Bel-Art Brand
Bel-Art Products is a part of SP and is the manufacturer of SP Bel-Art products including our H-B Instrument brand. These products are widely available through scientific, healthcare and industrial distributors, however, we recognize that the demand for our products often extends beyond our focus markets or for other reasons end users may wish to purchase products directly on our web site.
Why you are asked to Choose a Distributor:
When you place an order on belart.com you will be asked to choose a distributor from a predetermined list. It is not necessary for you to have an account with any of the distributors listed and your choice does not affect your order in any way. SP Bel-Art website will be processing and shipping your order however we choose to credit our distributors for their support of our brand and this is enabled by web customers choosing their business.
Where and How We Ship:
At this time we ship via UPS Ground or can expedite by request to valid addresses for the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Military. You may also choose to ship UPS or FEDEX using your own account number. Please note the following policies:
Expedited Shipping: Orders requiring expedited shipping must be placed by 10:45AM EST. Orders received after this time will be delayed by one business day however you will still be charged for the expedited shipping method chosen. Although not guaranteed, before requesting this service please make sure that each item you have selected has a green ‘in stock’ symbol. (See additional information below.) Saturday delivery is not available unless you ship on your own account number and include this request in your notes.
Using Your Own Account Number: When checking out please indicate using the radio buttons if you wish to ship on your own account utilizing UPS or FedEx and enter your account number. Should we not be able to process your account number for any reason we will ship via Bel-Art UPS ground and standard web site shipping charges will apply.
Shipping Time and Stock Availability:
If all items are in stock and expedited shipping is not noted, your order will ship within 5 business days. Should any items be temporarily out of stock you will be billed all freight charges with your initial shipment and back ordered items will ship free freight when available.
As a service to our customers we provide color ‘buttons’ next to our Catalog Numbers as a GUIDE to availability of stock. Green Circle = Good Availability, Yellow Circle = Low Availability, Red Circle = Currently Out of Stock. These symbols represent estimates based on information sent to our web site at the close of the previous business day. Orders are pulled into our system throughout the day and it is quite possible that the stock position may have changed.
As a reminder, all orders requesting expedited shipping must be placed by 10:45AM Eastern Standard Time. Orders received after this time will be delayed by one business day.
Payments and Processing:
Payment is accepted via credit card on our secure web site. The following cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Please be sure to check that your information is accurate before submitting. Your credit card is charged at the time of shipment. Sales Tax and Tax Exempt Orders
**Effective 10/1/21, SP Industries is updating its system of record and is thereby requesting cop(ies) of Customer sales tax exemption certificates for all applicable ship-to states. Please remit signed cop(ies) to [email protected]. If this has already been completed, we thank you for your assistance; please kindly ignore this request.
SP Bel-Art website is required by law to charge sales tax on items shipping to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland. If your organization is located in one of these states and you wish to use your tax exempt status, you must place all orders through a registered account. When registering your account you should upload a copy of your tax exempt certificate through our account portal before placing your first order. Your certificate will be reviewed and if accepted your account status will be changed to ‘Tax Exempt’. If we do not have your certificate on file we are required to charge sales tax
If in the future you elect to check-out as a GUEST and do not log into your account, we must charge sales tax if your order is shipping to one of the above named states.
Changing Your Order:
Once you click 'submit' trying to change your order on-line will result in a duplicate order, so please don't try! If you need to change your order please contact our customer service department at 1-800-423-5278 as soon as possible. If your order has not already been processed, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Return Policy:
Should you find that you do not need an item it may be returned to us unopened and in its original packaging within 90 days of receipt for a refund to your credit card. To return an item, please email [email protected] for a return authorization number. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Customer service is available to assist you with questions at 1-800-423-5278 however we cannot process returns or issue RMA numbers by phone.
Due to the sensitive nature of their use Sterileware® and other sterile products, products with expiration dates of less than one year, glove boxes, fume hoods and certain other products as identified by our customer service department as well as discontinued products may not be returned.
Defective Product Policy:
Products which appear to be damaged as a result of shipping should be reported immediately to UPS or the delivering carrier of record. Should you believe a product is defective from manufacture please contact our customer service department at 1-800-423-5278 or [email protected] as soon as possible. For additional information please refer to our warranty policy.
Wrong Merchandise:
On occasion we may make a mistake and ship incorrect quantities or items. Should this happen to you, we sincerely apologize! Please call our customer service department at 1-800-423-5278 or email [email protected] and we will correct it.
Order Quantities:
Order quantities for items can vary from each to multiples i.e. Box of 100. The quantity is clearly stated in the item detail. Prices listed are for the entire quantity you will be purchasing. Sorry we cannot adjust the quantity by which an item is sold.

Accuracy of Information on Site:
We are diligent in our efforts to display product information that is accurate and complete however errors do occur. Should you order an item and find that it does not match what was described we will do our best to rectify the situation. Measurements may be rounded for presentation purposes. If exact specifications are critical to your application, please feel free to contact our tech support department at [email protected].
Accessing and Modifying Personal Information and Communication Preferences
When you establish an account on belart.com you will have access to your own Account Dashboard where you can review your orders, write product reviews and update any information associated with your account. If for any reason you experience difficulty during this process you can contact our web department at [email protected].
You may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the "unsubscribe" links located on the bottom of any Bel-Art marketing email. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner. Registered Users cannot opt out of receiving transactional e-mails related to their account.
