Is the SP Bel-Art Glass Ampule Opener, F38952-0000 autoclavable? If not, would they be able to withstand soaking in 10% bleach solution? Thank you.

Hi Tracy,

The Break-Safe Ampule Opener is constructed of Co-Polyester, so it is perfectly safe to use a 10% bleach solution without affecting the quality of the product or material. This will be your best method of sanitization, as Co-Polyester unfortunately is not suitable for the autoclave and therefore autoclaving would result in degradation or destruction of the product

So, bleach solution, YES! Autoclaving, no.
