I have a question about the Break Safe Ampule Breaker. Do the ampules need to be pre-scored before using the break safe or can will it break cleaning on unscored ampules?

The SP Bel-Art Break-Safe Ampule Opener can break any ampule, but works best with pre-scored types. If you wish to pre-score your ampules if they have not come that way, just take a triangular file and lightly make a score at the ampule neck. No need to go all around the circumference of the neck. The break will happen cleanly at the score-line you created.
