Hi Lab Guy,
Our customer needs to seal in a desiccator, slides with samples that needs to be transported.
We would like to know the best way to do this and if you have a small desiccator with a sort of "rack" for slides. Thank you for your help.

Hi Anna!
Lab Guy here! While there are no “specific” products made for what you want, I’d like to offer a few simple suggestions for modifications to existing Bel-Art products that should work.
These suggestions:
All start with our Disposable Desiccator Plates (F42048-0065) and use the dish ‘as-is’, or use just the silica desiccant beads from inside.
2. The Polyethylene Slide Mailer Jar (H44200-0000) holds 5 slides and is another option, however in this case the silica beads would have to be loose within the container as there is not enough head space.
3. Bel-Art SP Scienceware offers a number of Polystyrene Slide Boxes (H44576-0000, H44576-0050, H44577-0000 and H44577-0001). The entire desiccator dish can be secured into an open space in any of these boxes. When closed these boxes have a tight seal, but not air-tight, so I recommend placing the box inside a Ziploc bag for extra assurance! Depending on your choice of boxes, you’ll fit a few less slides than normal but still be able to transport approximately 10 to 75 slides, in a dry, desiccated environment!
