Getting a tight fit when using Flowmi Cell Strainers really isn’t a result of the pipettor you use. Flowmi Cell Strainers are designed to go directly onto the end of a pipette tip so the pipette tip size is the part that is critical. I believe the Rainin 300 uses 200µl pipette tips and for this reason this particular pipettor would not work. A 200µl tip is too small and will not adhere and seal properly. More likely it would wedge or completely break through the bottom of the Flowmi Cell Strainer.

Flowmi Cell Strainers are designed to be used with 1000µl pipette tips. The end of these pipette tips is the proper size for the Flowmi Cell Strainer to grab and seal securely and also stop the pipette tip from going too deep into (and thru) the Flowmi Cell Strainer.

If you’ve not used them before I think you’ll find them easy to use and invaluable for successful filtering of small volume samples.
